San Mateo County and its 20 cities and towns, Alpine County and Mono County previously filed legal action to assert their VLF rights. The litigation has since been withdrawn as we seek to continue working collaboratively with the Legislature and other partners to secure a permanent legislative solution. The withdrawal does not change the counties and cities’ position that the funding shortfall must be permanently resolved.
